»Oonops Drops« gets born in 2021. Our major focus besides music is on sustainability, climate protection and socio-cultural values. »Oonops Drops« became known through Oonops‘ eponymous radioshow on Brooklyn Radio (NYC) in 2013 with renowned exclusive guestmixes from around the globe like Skratch Bastid, Coldcut, Rich Medina, J.Rawls, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Morcheeba, Mr Thing, The Reflex, Supreme La Rock, Torch, DJ Mad (Beginner), DJ Thomilla (Die Fantastischen Vier) to name a few and his vinyl releases via Agogo Records like the Oonops Drops compilation-series.
We press our releases on recycled eco vinyl, deliver our products via DHL green, we are a member at the »1% For The Planet«-network – a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive – as well as working together with social-cultural organisations like »Unter Einem Dach« who are manufacturing our record bags under fairest ecological conditions in their local house-made sewing workshop while helping people with an offer of language training, individual relay in (continuing) education, interconnectedness into cultural city society and much more.
Our musical focus is on Hip Hop, Instrumentals, Jazz, Soul, Funk and Organic Grooves. If you order via Bandcamp all packages get shipped green from our German headquarter including vegan eco stickers.
In addition to functioning as a music label, a new area was added: customized booking tours. In 2026, a third European tour with the Japanese Rare Groove/Jazz trio Nautilus from Tokyo will take place. Also planned will be the third tour with Philadelphia DJ legend Skeme Richards of the Rock Steady Crew.
