As you’d expect, it includes many unreleased songs, previously only available digitally or incredibly difficult to obtain on vinyl – true special delicacies from the crates.

Expect a broad selection of genres from (japanese) Jazz, head-nodding Beats and Hip Hop to samba-esque Funk, undiscovered Rare Groove, Reggae and Brazil-influenced stylings.

On this 7″-single you’ll get the digital only version from the compilation as a limited vinyl version, pressed on eco wax. Oonops selected the song “Empire State Of Mind” as an ode to New York City and his relation to Brooklyn Radio. This city is more relevant than ever, personifying the city and struggles, and serving as both a tribute and a source of hope. This skillful version is interpreted by Japanese Nautilus rare groove-trio in a sophisticated, pompous and complex way.

On the flipside Nautilus gets to work and interprets a Jazzanova classic in their typical style – here in a retro-futurist jazz-funk gem steeped in rare groove. “Mwela, Mwela (Here I Am)”, a beauty of a song from their “In Between” album which celebrates its 20th anniversary and featuring brilliant singers Rob Gallagher and Valerie Etienne (Galliano).

Here you’ve got the chance to snap it on a vinyl-45.
